The bike track "Devil's Lake" as a civil adaptational approach to climate change, biodiversity conservation and management of degraded land in the Natura 2000 areas and in the Ciucul de Sus depression
The project aims to implement the ideology of the "Greenway" movement in Ciucul de Sus (Upper Ciuc) to capitalise on the cultural and natural heritage of this region in order to maintain economic development. A greenway is already in progress in Ciucul de Jos (Lower Ciuc), which will constitute a model in the development of the greenway plan. As a main infrastructure of the greenway, the project will build a bikeway (?the bikeway of the Devil?s Lake bog?) that will help to reduce air pollution from motor vehicles. The bikeway will start from the Carta village and will create a bridge towards Suseni (on the Mures river), which is rich in mineral springs that will be rehabilitated under the project. The community will be also involved in marking and setting up informational panels in the ?Devil's Lake? reservation.
