Ciliwung River Revitalization to Revive River’s Biodiversity Through
Project Development Goals:
1. Community Bukit Duri and Kampong Pulo will be able to manage the environment independently;
2. Turning Rumah Kompos (Compost House) and verti-culture plant as community additional income;
3. Encouraging collaboration with other communities working in similar area and issue to conduct collective activities in managing Ciliwung River as part of community living environment.

Project Development Objectives:
1. Shifting attitude in environmental management especially in waste management and medicinal plant cultivation;
2. Consistency in waste management and replanting activities;
3. Acknowledgement for wider community that the riverbank community could carry out their environment autonomously


Expected Outputs:
1. Kampong Pulo and Bukit Duri will be free from waste and no longer treated as location to dispose waste
2. Community actively involved in waste collecting activity and controlled waste management democratically through each neighbourhood association (administrative unit);
3. Increased community income;
4. Community actively involved and being critical in decision making process of compost house management;
5. Organized monthly regular meeting with community;
6. Organized tri-monthly regular meeting with officials from sub-district;
7. Improved community knowledge regarding vegetables and medicinal plant to decrease family expenses;
8. Community will be able to establish living apothecary and its supporting unit.

Activities to be conducted:
1. Waste Saving System Program (Waste Bank);
2. Compost Marketing Program;
3. Training and Activity Socialization Program;
4. Verti-culture Plant Program. This program will include planting spinach, morning glory, chinese cabbage, celery, tomatoes, spring onion, medicinal plant, and culinary spices.

Project Participants and/or beneficiaries:
400 Households/2.500 people of Kampong Bukit Duri and 103 Households/400 peoples of Kampung Pulo
