Community Forest Conservation Through Women Empowerment
Project Development Goals:
To apply the balance of community?s livelihood with its environment in order to improve the quality of community life
Project Development Objectives:
1. Improving land condition in working site to be more productive
2. Available alternative economy activities to increase community income and to reduce deforestation by community
3. Available revolving fund scheme and savings in form of micro finance institution
Expected Outputs:
1. Established group for critical land conservation and recovery
2. Developed income generating activities based on local potency and culture
3. Established micro-finance institution
Activities to be conducted:
1. Establishing group for Land Conservation and Rehabilitation
2. Establishing talut to accommodate swallow birds during the rainy season;
3. Producing compost to increase soil nutrients and acidity
4. Planting productive plants;
5. Identifying the local potency by applying participative method
6. Facilitating the development of income generating activities for community by providing community with production tools
7. Training on entrepreneurship management, production quality control, marketing, micro-finance institution, and market network development
8. Identifying local financial institution by applying participative method
9. Facilitating the development of micro-finance institution
