Prevention of Desert Encroachment due to Land Degradation Activities in Gombe State
The goal of the project is to reduce desert encroachment and to economically empower rural women for a better living in a healthier environment. This will be achieved through capacity building for construction of local firewood stoves using local technology that consume very small amount of firewood; tree planting exercise in each of the project sites to reduce the effects of desert encroachment and production of IEC materials to create more awareness and encourage active participation of community memebrs.
