Objective:
Reduce fuel wood cutting from forest near villages.
Provide alternative to 126 families involved in this activity.
Output:
1. Alternative livelihood for 126 families
2. reduction in fuelwood cutting by 1.5/day
3. Showcase a pilot to upscale the activity in other villages engaged in fuelwood cutting
Activities:
1. Discussion with locals about fuelwood cutting
2. Collect various types of baseline information
3. Collect information of efforts already undertaken by Forest department and others to reduce fuel wood cutting
4. Identify various individual/group based livelihood opportunities
5. Training of various stakeholders
6. Collect information about resource generation scheme of various department
7. Encourage people to take the schemes.
