Reconstruction of the Zhemyslavl hydro plant, Ivye district, Grodno oblast
Project goals and objectives:
The main goal of the project is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the electricity generation after the reconstruction of the Zhemyslavl hydro plant.
Expected outcomes:
?Annual production of electricity has increased by 3.3 times and amounted to 1400 kW/h;
?The use of hydro power instead of combustion of conventional types of solid fuel (approximately 245 000 tones) allows to cut GHG emission by 43 800 tones;
?The experience gained during the implementation of the project has been available for possible use to reconstruct small hydropower plants in other regions of Belarus
