PROMOTION OF CERRUJA GRAPE VARIETY IN THE MATI REGION
Cerruja variety of grape is a local variety found in the area around the Village of the same name in the upper part of the Mati river valley. The variety can be considered autochthonous and is characterized by good yields and high resistance to pathogens. This is a small project aiming at the on-situ preservation of this variety. The project will prepare and distribute app. 5,000 plants (cuttings) into the local farmers for planting during the autumn of 2009.
