Establishing community seed Bank in South of Gaza Strip
This project aims at establishing community seed bank and promoting planting 12 species of Baladi seeds. The main project activities are to select 20 farmers (10 with experience and the other 10 without experience) and plant 20 dunums with 12 species of Baladi seeds by using organic farming. Produce and collect 5.5 ton from the Baladi seeds, Select the best species and preserve it in the community seed bank with scientific techniques. In addition to that, raise public and environmental awareness of 20 farmers "males and females" through conducting (5) workshops on the importance of conserving the Baladi seeds, produce brochure?1000 copy ?on project goals, activities and results and cooperate with 5 agricultural institutions.
