1. Costs of agricultural inputs were reduced due to the reduction of excessive use of pesticides and fertilizer which were replaced by organic and safe materials available in the farm.
2. The capability of 25 female and male farmers were built in the area of indigenous seeds? production ad conservation.
3. A sustainable source of indigenous seeds was established for the benefit of local farmers.
4. Experience and knowledge were exchanged amongst farmers through the organization of field visits to targeted farms in participation with beneficiary farmers.
5. Scientific knowledge gained by farmers through the organization of two workshops with local experts and through the provision of field extension to beneficiary farmers.
6. 1,000 brochures on the importance of indigenous seeds and plants were produced.

Long term results:

1. Conservation and protection of 10 species of indigenous plants from extinction and preservation of their biodiversity. These species are: watermelon, melon, ridge cucumber, pepper, okra, kidney bean, pumpkin, gourd, corn and Jew?s mallow.
2. Contribution to the sustainable management of land and water by reducing the excessive use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers.
3. Contribution to the dissemination of the practices of planting indigenous seeds.
