The project advances the uses of indigenous knowledge for healing purposes - while the program is linked to western medical training . This model is lately promoted by the government and it will efficiently utilise the existing knowledge in addressing health priorities

The project ahs a strong focus on sustainable livelihoods through involvement of community in identification, collection and propagation of indigenous and medicinal plants . the project also involve production of vegetables under hydroponinc- which are sold for income generation.
