Upscale Fuel Efficient Stoves Project in Haripur District, NWFP
Project objectives: Over all objectives of the project will be:
Reduction in green house gas emission through promoting energy efficiency in cooking technology.
Activities to be carried out under project:
?Capacity building of PHKN staff regarding making of fuel efficient stoves with the support of RDP
?Awareness raising sessions and exposure visits for community women and men regarding importance and usage of fuel efficient stoves with the support of existing community based organizations.
?Three days demonstration at village level in 100 villages of Haripur district in which 30-35 women will be trained in fuel efficient stoves. Pictorial demonstration will be done while training the community women.
?Monitoring of usage of fuel efficient stoves in the villages where it has been demonstrated
Project stakeholders and beneficiaries:
-Community members women and men of 7 U/C
-PHKN, RDP , GEF
Expected outcomes of project:
?Capacity building of 3000-3500 women in making of fuel efficient stove for their personal use and dissemination.
?About 15000 house holds will be benefited with the improved technology of fuel efficient stove as replication.
?With the introduction of fuel efficient stoves, the health of women and environment protection will be improved. It will also save time, energy and utilization of natural resources.
