Ecotourism – opportunity for sustainable development in Persina Nature Park
The project ?Ecotourism ? opportunity for sustainable development in Persina Nature Park? consists of activities the aim of which is supporting and developing of alternative, attractive and innovational forms of ecological tourism (water, ornithological, adventurous) still not developed in the Nature park. The most important part is the connection between the development of ecological tourism as a care for the environment and the significant contribution for the local economy and activating the parties concerned.
Location
In Persina Nature Park there are 21762 hectare pure and virgin nature which is perfect premise for development of ecological tourism.
Project Target Groups
The project target groups are nature lovers and eco-tourism mainly from Bulgaria and Romania. There are two main target groups:
The team consists of 20 adults. In the first group are 130 children from alover the country gathered and lead by ?EDUKO? ? Bulgaria and 100 adult eco-tourists from Bulgaria, Romania and other counties. In the second group are 50 teenagers from 14 to 17 years old gathered from Social services, 15 teenagers from the group ?Mlad kraeved? in Chitalishte ?Hristo Botev?- Belene, 20 teenagers from the group ?Prilojna ekologia? in ODK ? Belene, and 15 children from the group ?Mlad prirodoliubitel?.
Goal and expected impacts
The main goal is achieving sustained development in Persina Nature Park in Belene Municipality by developing the main activities in ecological tourism (learning the Nature, ornitologic, river, fishing, ecological adventures, and historical by using the local nature and historical objects.
We expect the development of the teenage ecological tourism by the method of learning through the life in the Belene Danube archipelago.
