Agricultural Plan for Safety of Ecosystems
Target Population / Location of project:
960 persons from 162 households 80 % of which earn their living through agricultural practice (paddy , gardening and fish raising). The project location is situated in integrated ecosystems of the Gulf of Thailand and in the Indo-Chinese Sub-region?s Indochina of the Biogeography . 142 households are targeted as direct beneficiaries.
Main Anticipated Result:
1. Increased capacity and awareness of target population witnessed through active participation in environment development activities and emergence of group(s) persistently managing local ecosystems
2. About 90 ha of cultivated land being freed from chemical application
3. About 30 families becoming models and learning places on organic farming
Main Activities:
1. Building capacity of target population on soil rehabilitation, and quality of water in natural water courses
2. Demonstrating organic farming plots
3. Launching re-vegetation by using native species
4. Conducting participatory evaluation
5. Disseminating project activities and results
