Participative Management and Community Development in Buffer Zone of Gunung Nyiut Conservation Area
Project Development Goals:
To conserve forest in Mount Nyiut ? Mount Penrissen buffer area through community participation in forest management as well as optimizing the functions of forests as buffer area to support the conservation of Mount Nyiut Conservation Area.
Project Objectives:
1. To increase people capacity and awareness in participative buffer forest management
2. To decrease people?s dependency on buffer forest in order to support its conservation effort
Expected Outputs:
1. The availability of comprehensive and strategic plan
2. The availability of ecological research aimed to anticipate possible environmental impacts deriving from forest utilization.
Activities to be conducted:
1. Coordination meeting and preparation
2. Assessment and field preparation
3. Planning process with community
4. Reporting and documentation
Project participants and/or beneficiaries:
1. Direct : 813 Households of Dawar Village
2. Indirect : 836 Households of Senggring Village and Semadun Village
