? To increase farming productivity and secure community?s livelihood especially farming lands and community housing in coastal area
? To protect sea biodiversity to support environment conservation especially for coastal areas
Project Objectives:
To help communities especially in maintaining coastal conservation to avoid abrasion
Expected Outputs:
1. Conserved coastal biodiversity ecosystem
2. Protected community farming areas, especially rice fields and plantation that located nearby coastal line
Activities to be conducted:
A. Pre-condition and socialization
1. Performing program socialization, consultation, and coordination with communities in both Abang and Petong islands;
2. Facilitating discussion in both sub-districts in Abang islands to discuss more about coral reef;
3. Composing planning details.
B. Coral reef transplantation
1. Training for coral reef transplantation;
2. Selecting location for farm and artificial reef transplantation;
3. Creating 3D map;
4. Constructing artificial reef;
5. Training basic diving;
6. Organizing community biodiversity monitoring and creating manual monitoring;
7. Planting and implementing coral adoption;
8. Monitoring condition of the transplanted reefs;
9. Compiling, analyzing, and composing report, and;
10. Selecting sea management area, management organization, and community patrolling system.
C. Environment Services Business (Eco-tourism) Development
1. Training for entrepreneurship and business organization;
2. Training for tourism services (a. eco-guide, b. accommodation, and c. food and beverage);
3. Formulating business plan, and;
4. Facilitating working capital (using revolving fund scheme)
D. Knowledge Documentation
1. Creating documentary movie regarding all community?s activities;
2. Creating leaflet and poster, and;
3. Disseminating knowledge (lesson learned) to neighboring kampong through kampong meeting
E. Monitoring and Evaluation
