Community rehabilitation of mangrove communities in Nhangau, Sofala province (Project Phase II) ? a project that aims to promote environmental consciousness of communities of Njalane and Chissape about the importance of mangrove communities in preservation of biodiversity; the project in its phase II will continue to promote community management of natural resources, improve artisanal fisheries, reduce pressure on mangroves that are over-exploited for production of firewood and building poles, rehabilitate parts of the mangrove forest, and promote alternative income generation activities; efforts will be put to expand projects impacts in the region of Nhangau.
