Issues of Sustainable Development for Maracas Valley,Trinidad and Tobago
The Project will examine the issues associated with sustainable development of Maracas Valley as it relates to the optimum carrying capacity of the Valley in terms of settlement, mining, industry and roads.

Main Objectives include:
1. Stakeholder/Community consultations on priority concerns for Maracas Valley.
2. Issues associated with sustainable development of Maracas Valley as it relates to, inter alia, the optimum human activities and the distribution of services which can be sustained;.
3. Disseminate the findings of the study;
4. Use the findings of the study as a basis for seeking partnerships with regional and national planning and policy making agencies. MVAC already has held discussions with the Regional Corporation, the Town and Country Planning Division, the EMA and other relevant authorities. It is anticipated that these agencies will become partners with MVAC in this exercise.
