Pesquisas Ecossociais no Cerrado II
This project is an extension of project BRA/05/37, which is aimed at identification, analysis and dissemination of lessons learned by the Small Grants Programme in its nine years, by means of supporting graduate studies about the programme and its projects, fostering new studies and future proposals for public policy.
Financial support will be granted to cover graduate students? expenses in studies which are relevant to the programme. Environmental, economic, social and cultural aspects must be part of selected projects.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Successful experiences in terms of sustainable livelihoods in the Cerrado will be recorded and disseminated for other project proposals, thus avoiding repetition of failed activities.
Notable Community Participation
Successful results in this project which go beyond evaluation, generating new proposals for projects and public policy, depend entirely on participation by community members, who should be in direct contact with the researchers, showing positive and negative impacts of the implemented projects.
