Biodiversity Conservation through Community Fisheries
This project was fully funded by UNDP TRAC fund thruogh SGP team. This project will implement with community fisheries and federations, and self help group (SHGs) by cooperation closely with local authority and fisheries officer and other stakeholders in order to reach the project goals. The project will carry three main activities relevant to mobilizing community members for lake conservation, promote community members to use Pure Water Cans in the purpose of improving community health, and strengthening law enforcement through provide training on fisheries law and law related to community fisheries government authorities.

Project Characteristics and Results
Capacity - Building Component
All project activities will implement mostly by community fisheries and federations, fisheries officer, local authority, and SHGs. Chet thor will actives role in facilitation and support to ensure that the project activities established, running well, and respond to the project goals. Through providing responsibility to community and other stakeholders especially SHGs for implement the project activities is a part of strengthening community capacity and participate to responsible together in community development and also help community to manage the process and project activities in the future.
Project sustainability
The GEF SGP project staff will continue to provide follow up support to UNDP TRAC SGP and ensure it sustainability and create more impact in term of environment as well livelihood of communities.
