Bicycle Project
The project goal is to work with relevant stakeholders to encourage a modal shift from motorised transportation to non-motorised transportation. Objectives include improving infrastructure for cyclists and pedestrians in partnership with the City of Windhoek, educating drivers about cyclist and pedestrian safety issues, educating potential cyclists about the personal, environmental and social benefits of cycling, creating a favourable legislative framework to protect cyclists' and pedestrians' rights, improving the image of cycling and walking, and providing affordable access to non-motorised transportation for low income earners.
