The general objective is promoting institutional development for the Cerrado Indigenous Peoples Mobilization (Mobilização dos Povos Indígenas do Cerrado ? MOPIC) through activities such as: strengthening political coordination among Cerrado Indigenous Populations; expand MOPIC participation and representation; assess current status of Indigenous Lands in the Cerrado; promote and qualify participation of MOPIC representatives in public socioenvironmental spaces, such as CONACER; perform local and regional mobilization activities; bring visibility to Cerrado indigenous cultures. MOPIC is an initiative of fundamental importance for network activities involving Cerrado indigenous populations aimed at influencing public policy at national level
