Grant is given to supporta creative initiave to manufacture a number of experimental solar powered refrigerators. The projects intend to contribute to greenhouse gas reduction and overcome some barriers in promoting the adoption of renewable energy. Solar powered refrigerators will be very usful for rural community. Due to the mountainous terrain and remote location of many villages, it is unlikely that the grid will be extended to them anytime.
