Development Plan for Nata Sanctuary - Conservation of Makgadikgadi Pans
The proposal requests funds to complete the development of the Nata Sanctuary, so that it can conserve the Makgadikgadi Pans, which is a globally significant wetland and breeding site for migratory birds (flamingos). The project will also generate opportunities for job creation and income generation for participating villages. The support will focus on improvement of management systems and review of management plans to ensure consistency inthe implementation of the project.
