The project aims to undertake community-based activities that will promote/establish the rehabilitation, conservation and management of the coastal and marine resources in Bolinao to sustain the strengthening of eight POs towards the comprehensive initiatives conserving the coastal and marine resources and for the development of sustainable livelihood of the communities of Bolinao and to replicate the conservation of coastal resources in another five new barangays in Bolinao and Lingayen Gulf.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Promote the development of sustainable livelihood development concepts in expansion sites. The sustainable livelihood development concepts are those initiated by communities through their people's organization that integrates and links variety of activities on conservation and income generation on both the marine and terrestrial areas of their communities.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Target Outputs: 70% of the coastal communities had increased awareness and equipped with knowledge regarding the importance of conservation of coastal and marine resources; Regreening of coastal habitats through the conservation of mangrove in 5 expansion sites of KAISAKA; Initial recovery of fisheries as a result of mangrove conservation initiated by the various POs; Increased leadership capacities of KAISAKA regarding conservation and coastal marine resource and management of their project; Federation leaders able to improved their management system; Initiated a continuous and sustainable development of livelihood activities; Federation able to assist coastal barangays in Bolinao through improved access to health, education and social services; LGUs of Bolinao tapping KAISAKA in improving local policies on coastal and marine ecosystem conservation;· Increased income of members by 3-5%; 50% of households in every barangay with KAISAKA members participated in various conservation activities.
