Lowland and Upland Conservation for Lake Mainit Influence Areas
The project aimed to contribute towards the conservation of the biodiversity in key resource areas around Lake Mainit. The project was developed and considered for funding under the UNDP GEF/RNE SGP and PACAP Partnership for Biodiversity Conservation for Lake Mainit.

The project is environmental protection and conservation activities, mainly, focusing at protecting biodiversity in the lowland, upland and lake ecosystem in Lake Mainit. The project in addressing environmental conservation and development in the community, will harness the community todo the right approach since they are the shock absorber of the ill effects of environmental degradation and the beneficiaries of the gains as offshoot of the program.

Project Characteristics and Results
Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
For socio-economic development, they envisioned to augment the farm family income of partner beneficiaries through the provision of improved breed of goats and chicken. It also aims of improving the farming system and develop agriculture production skills aside from crops more especially animal production and be formed part of partner-beneficiaries regular/continuing economic activity in the future. And to increase productivity by utilizing vacant lots under coconut thereby advocating the principle of crop-livestock combination farming system, which in the process, manure's from goats and chicken will provide good source of plant nutrients as organic fertilizer and plantation/field crops.
Significant Participation of Indigenous Peoples
Indigenous people's representation in the protected area are being promoted, adopted and practiced.
