Community and Lake Resources Management and Development Program
The project intends to undertake community-based activities for the protection, conservation and management of the resources and strengthen communities around Lake Buhi. There are five comprehensive integrated components which compromise the whole project:

1. Continuous research and environmental scanning and documentation on biodiversity, livelihood systems;
2. Conscientization/awareness, lake and environmental education and training for community development and community mobilization;
3. Strengthening and consolidation of the SCSIs and other grassroots formation;
4. Establishment and consolidation of the community-based resources management and development cooperation/council;
5. Complement the lake resources management and development

Gender Focus
Men and women will help in the implementation of the project. Strengthen the women and youth sector as partners in management and development work by value and commitment formation including gender sensitivity and progressive parenting and development at barangay level. The project was also able to organize at least 40% of the adult population in the surrounding barangays and strengthen their organizational capability and competency towards community-based resource management and development of the lake areas.
