GEF/SGP Stakeholder Capacity Building Writeshop: Empowering Communities in Natural Resource Management Project
The aim of this project is to develop sound mechanisms for invoving 8 comuunities in the actual long-term management of the natural resources. BAS has agreed to establish a partnership with Natural Resource Management Department of the University of Belize to implement this project. BAS will hold a three-day training session to enable community groups to understand programme development for natural resource management as well as the process to acquire funding from funding organizations operating in Belize. Additonally, BAS will provide follow up suppport to the programme participants in order to enable them to develop sound programmes and proposals for funding by the GEF/SGP.
