Introduction of Solar Energy to replace Fossil Fuel Consumption in the Operations of the Soufriere Fishermen’s Cooperative Society.
Introduction of Solar Energy to replace Fossil Fuel Consumption in the Operations of the Soufriere Fishermen’s Cooperative Society.
This planning grant will assist the grantee in conducting an energy audit; undertaking a financial analysis of introducing a fully solarised system; and if economically with a positive benefit cost ratio, the PG will also assist in designing and costing the procurement and installation of a fully solarized system for a Fisheries Cooperative. If this study and assessment proves that greater efficiencies can be archived, the grantee will then raise the required funds for project implementation. The twin objectives are to reduce the carbon footprint and the average cost of production.
