The project will consist in:
1. marking for the first time in Albania of several bird species with coloured rings
2. installation of trap camera tracking different species during the nesting process
3. first deployment in Albania of a satellite transmitter for (Recurvirostra avoceta). Expected duration of tracking 3 years. Tracking open to public through internet.
4. inventory of water nesting birds in the Narta Lagoon and Karavasta Lagoon for 2022-2023
The project will prepare a set of presentation materials in Power Point and an animated video that will be presented at an elementary school (V-class) in each of these cities: (i) Vlora; (ii) Divjake; (iii) Durres; (iv) Lac; (v) The Saranda; (vi) Koplik; (vii) The Struga; (viii) Korca.
The project will produce a video showing the “secret life” of birds making use of standard and remote camera footage.
