Promoting Organic Agriculture Practices and Food Security
Promoting Organic Agriculture Practices and Food Security
being Promoting Organic Agriculture Practices and Food Security. The project is to ensure that Climate Smart Innovative Agro-Ecology and capacity development are carried on. The project seeks to cultivate 50 Acres of Land for the production of vegetables gardens in Gbobayee community around the East Nimba Natural Reserve (ENNR) to directly benefit over 2,300 local inhabitants in the community free of charge.

Similarly, this project will reduce and mitigate the many needs and challenges faced by the communities including hunger, lack of fund and livelihood. There will also be capacity building on Climate Smart Innovative Agro-Ecology for rural farmers in the two project communities. The training will be conducted for 30 farmers on the need to act on climate change through environmental education.

Lastly, in an effort to improve the livelihood of the selected communities, this proposed project has been designed by YIF to serve as an alternative means to reduce the pressure on the forest within the ENNR.
