This project aims to strengthen the governance in two Trio indigenous communities, focusing on strong traditional and non-traditional leaders in Tepu and Sipaliwini. These goals will be achieved by the follwoing activities: inventory of available leadership capacity and issues in the communities, providing required capacity training regarding strong governance, and developing pilot community based land and resource monitoring.
