Writing Semau: Progress Unraveling, Training of Writing Interesting Experiences
GOAL
Collecting stories of best experiences of communities in Semau island by providing writing and documentation training as skills of communication and information packing.


OBJECTIVES
Objective 1 : Provide the understanding on the importance of communication and understanding on the concept of journalism on islands
Indicators : 1. 20 people from community groups of Semau can understand the importance of communication and understanding the concept of journalism on island
2. 20 people from community groups of Semau can gather information and write the data and facts obtained
3. 20 people from community groups of Semau can improve the ability to document the activities through photography workshop
4. Draft texts or writings from best experiences are collected to be published as book "The Best Experience of the Community in Semau Island"
Activities : 1. Teaching
Resource persons will provide materials related to concepts and definition of journalism, as well as guidance on collecting information, the basics of photography and practical tips on writing and editing
2. Group Discussion
Participants learn together in small groups in order to share and reinforce the learning process.
3. Exercise
Almost at every session, participants will have the opportunity to practice the theory.
4. Practice
Participants will have the opportunity to directly put into practice the theory and practice to produce a draft of manuscript
5. Reflection and Feedback
Participants will go through a process of reflection and feedback, to get others’ perspective of their work and their behavior


EXPECTED OUTPUTS
1. Capacity building of the group in Semau island, so that they are able to write their best experiences during Comdeks activities
2. The community group in Semau island can process and package data in the form of writing or other publications such as photos and videos
3. The publication of best practice books of Comdeks Partners in Semau island
