Notable Community Participation
3 rural communities will be benefitted directly including, Cabeceira do Mato Grande, Mato Grande and São Miguel in Turmalina, Minas Gerais. This includes 31 families who utilize spring water directly from the water sources. Other communities in the outskirts will be benefitted indirectly.
Capacity - Building Component
A total of 09 springs will be enclosed in the micro-basin in the Mato Grande stream through the means of a methodology that welcomes community participation to work towards adequate water consumption, rational measures in water usage and sustainable practices revitalization degragated areas such as those closer to significant water sources.
