Eco-friendly practices implementation through the creation of waste treatment facilities in local school
The project aims to preserve and restore the soil through launching an effective way of waste reduction as well as providing comfortable conditions for pupils and teachers of local school in Lysychansk. The project is going to achieve its objective by equipment of a toilet room in the main school building and creation of waste treatment plant using modern environment-friendly technologies. Waste treatment plant will include both a container for collection and further processing of feces and a container for wastewater, further its treatment and use for irrigation. Process of wastewater treatment includes two stages. The first stage is mechanical. It works this way: wastewater flows into the tank and divides into three parts. The first is inorganic substances that settle on the bottom as sludge. The second is organic component that settle on the surface as a foam and gases. In the middle is a clarified water (40-50%). This water flows through a special valve in the bioreactor container and the second phase of cleaning called biological purification begins. Then the water will be cleared to 95-99%.
