Preservation and rehabilitation of flora and fauna in Polissya region
The main goal of the project is to preserve and restore populations of Ukrainian Red Book and rare animals and plants, as well as draw public attention to the global challenges of biodiversity loss through a series of awareness-raising activities. The project objectives are in line with Aichi Biodiversity Targets: 1. By 2020, at the latest, people are aware of the values of biodiversity and the steps they can take to conserve and use it sustainably. 12. By 2020 the extinction of known threatened species has been prevented and their conservation status, particularly of those most in decline, has been improved and sustained.
