COMMUNITY LED SUSTAINABLE LAND AND FORESTRY MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME THROUGH THE DEMONSTRATION OF BEST PRACTICE AND EMPOWERMENT OF RESOURCE OWNERS COMMUNITIES OF DAWASAMU
This project is about the reforestation of degraded farmlands through agro-forestry in two villages in forest areas in Dawasamu within 2 years and improve upon these practices over the next decade.
The project will involve 63 villagers/farmers including women in communities in an area consisting of about 200 acres of land that is both grassland and virgin native forest where Sustainable Forestry Management (SFM) activities learnt by these communities through a workshop with the Forestry Training Centre (FTC) of the Ministry of Fisheries and Forests (MAF).
