“Community Based Adaptation for Fisheries Dependent Communities of Rodrigues”
1. Background research - general secondary research to include policy analysis, institutional mapping, key informant interviews, and collation of existing datasets maps and meteorological data.
2. Planning Workshop 1- between 20 and 30 representatives from the local community would be invited to attend the workshop. During the workshop participatory tools would be used to discuss the issues and identify potential solutions to include: Hazard Mapping, Seasonal Calenders, Historical Timeline, Vulnerability Matrix, and Venn Diagrams (as listed in the CARE VRA Handbook).
3. Compilation and Analysis, using the CRisTAL tool.
4. Planning Workshop 2 - to report back and validate the findings from Planning Workshop 1 and to discuss the proposed project activities in preparation for the full grant submission.
5. Preparation of the full project proposal.
