Sustainable Use of Limited Environmental Resources
Ceyhan / Balqa Governorate is an agricultural rain fed area it has been recently adopted as one of the environmentally important areas , Therefore and due to the low level of agriculture Productivity (due to lack of water resources where rate of rainfall is about 300 ml/year) and In addition to the low level of water management and efficiency and the rationalization of water consumption especially among women community and lack of, Al- khayr & al wafa charity society and in cooperation with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development saw the need to adopt a comprehensive program in the field of water awareness to educate the community especially women about the seriousness of the Water situation in Jordan.
Thus through the implementation of number of rainwater harvesting wells, maintenance of linked networks in addition to encouraging people to use solar water heaters instead of electric for hot water.
The overall objective of the project is maximize the use of rain water and raise the efficiency of irrigation, use of renewable energy to improve the standard of living for local residents.
this project improves the level of household food security and raise the standard of living by linking home gardens and farms with water collecting wells (drip irrigation) to a drought-tolerant crops and with low water needs to contribute to the food security at household level and also minimize the value of the water bill in case of using rain water which will contribute to raising the standard of living of the citizen and the reduction of household water consumption in addition to solar water heaters instead of electric or gas will provide the income of the individual through the use of a source of permanent and renewable energy.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
Improve households food security and emphasis on sustainable livelihood of local community by connecting home gardens and farms with water collecting wells (drip irrigation) for drought-tolerant crops, which contributes to secure food source and save money.
Also raise the improve livelihood of citizens by reducing the value of water and electricity bills case of use solar rain water and solar heaters instead of electricity to provide hot water continuously through a renewable permanent source of energy.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
Increase water and environmental awareness among the local community, especially about the importance of water and practice all the methods and means that will help in rationalize water consumption.
