The project is aimed to combat climate change by reducing GHG emissions and demonstrate the use of renewable solar energy technologies for electricity production in public buildings of Oleksandrivsk, Lugansk region. The main practical achievement of the project will be an installation of energy-efficient solar collector for electricity production to reduce GHG emissions to 1 t of CO2-equvalents annually. The project is going to implement public awareness and capacity building activities for Oleksandrivsk community involving more than 4000 citizens into the public hearings, environmental seminars, roundtable discussions, etc. The raising awareness campaign also includes dissemination of brochures on use of renewable solar energy technologies.
