This project aims to develop a bootanical garden in the village of Lespansie that will attract the already visiting tourists (number of tourist lodges surrounding Lespansie), as well as creating awareness among the local community in protecting and conserving the tropical rainforest.

Emphasis on Sustainable Livelihoods
The botanical garden will be exploited as a public garden for tourists / visitors, where there will be an opportunity for generation of income, as tourists will pay a fee to enter the garden, and also there are opportunities to sleep over.
Notable Community Participation
The community has been responsible for cleaning the botanical garden, establishing the walking trails, constructing the landing place as well as constructing the hut where tourists can sit down. The community village leaders also have been the one to designate this piece of land of around 7 ha, primarily for the protection of the biodiversity.
