Participatory Local Community Rangeland Management
The Participatory Local Community Rangeland Management implemented by Barrat Dana cooperative society for livestock owners generally aims to protect the biodiversity of Barrat Dana area which lies within Dana natural reserve from depletion because of the grazing and tourism activities also contribute to the reduction of pastures degradation by regulating the housing, grazing activities during the grazing season.
The project aims to:
-Pharmacy veterinary treatments.
- Training program for livestock owners on fattening and nutrition concepts in the site.
-Provide tools of herds management and used by members of the society.
-Assembly crew training in the field of project management.
-Develop a plan for the grazing in barrat dana in participation with the owners of Dana and Qadisiyah herds.
-Conduct awareness sessions the hikers from Dana and Qadisiyah villages on the concept of eco-tourism.
-Train livestock owners about environmentally friendly practices.

Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Implement a Revolving loan funds for the livestock owners for the purpose of purchasing fodder, medicine and supplies.
Notable Community Participation
Local community are included in all implementation, follow up and evaluation stages. Also local community are involved and targeted in guidance programs, training & awareness-raising activities conducted, thus in order to encourage different sectors of the local community to participate, exchange information and capacity building with focus on the major beneficiaries. Finally, local community are be part of the project committee and have an in-kind and in-cash contribution.
