Viwa Fijian School Compost Toilet Demonstration Project
This project will address the GEF Focal Areas of International Waters as well as Biodiversity & Land Degradation. Utilization of the composting toilets will reduce the amount of water pollution that goes to the reef adjacent to the community and thus protect and improve habitat promoting aquatic biodiversity. The finished compost will be utilized to enhance garden soils thus improving the productivity and reducing the need for additional land degradation to reap crops.
