Navakavu Intergrated Coastal Waste Management
Navakavu Intergrated Coastal Waste Management
The project will empower the community to work together to eliminate waste threats in the coastal zone of the Navakavu site. This project will be managed by the Vueti Navakavu Project Qoliqoli Committee and implemented by the people of Navakavu. The Institute of Applied Science will be advisory partner into this project and facilitate the accomplishment of the project activities. The Vueti Navakavu project site is a pioneer member of the FLMMA Network since 2002.
This project will certainly extend conservation awareness into the coastal zone and properly integrate waste management and marine conservation activities and efforts. The outcome is to raise their standard of living by better managing waste and foreseeing a holistic approach towards resource management. It is important to note that this project will produce a change of attitude and mind set of the people toward a pollution free and healthy environment.
