Dana Village Environmental Camp
Dana Village Environmental Camp
The tourism demand in Dana village incredibly increased and the need for accommodation is an essential need to provide good tourism services, thus the people who work in private sector in Dana have to invest more in accommodation to meet the tourism demand. These days, some of local investors started to build new hotels in modern styles to increase their capacity to fit with the tourism demand, this situation will destroy the village cultural identity and the landscape of the reserve because they are looking to the village to build more cement bulks in modern building styles that will deteriorate the fragile habitat which is the last refuge for many wildlife species.

The project will set a pioneer model for eco-tourism in such an area and contribute to raise the local community awareness about the sites’ environmental sensitivity and encourage them to preserve the village cultural identity and preserve the fragile habitat of the site and gain more support among the local community through the projects’ economic benefits which will increase direct and indirect income.
