The project aims to carry out the following activities in the Northern and Central areas of the Persani Mountains:

- ensuring environmental compliance of the protected areas: Racos geological system, Dopca gorge, Cotul Turzunului avifaunistic reserve and Bogata Forest, a Natura2000 SPA&SCI site (management plans, visitation regulations, information panels and limits tracing);

- marking over 300 km of thematic and touristic pathwats, connecting all the 12 natural protected areas;

- installing 32 information panels, both general and area specific regarding the natural and cultural heritage in the project area;

- GPS mapping of the biodiversity and agri-biodiversity and establishing the area's green map (a local GIS);

- enriching the biodiversity of the area by rehabilitating the ecosystems that were damaged by the basalt quarries; rehabilitating the Cotul Turzunului wetland through an extensive series of impact studies, carrying out hydrological work and opportunity studies regarding the reintroduction of some extinct species in the area;
