Prevention of Land Degradation
Prevention of Land Degradation
Mmamotse Welfare Association, a community welfare group focusing on the out of school youth, less privileged children, poverty alleviation as well as the reproductive health issues would like to embark on a project to create a brighter future for the community by creating a conducive and prosperous environment in Gakgatla village. The Association aims to develop a series of activities which will enhance the welfare of the community members and capacitate them to work independently and do projects that will earn them an income.. For this to take place the Association requires a workshop to develop a work plan, budgets, timeframes and responsibilities. It is expected that this series of workshop will result in building capacity for the community to embark on small scale business projects that will improve their living conditions and enhance their welfare in society. The Mmamotse Welfare Association has registered with the Registrar of Societies and has a constitution. It is in the process of opening a bank account. It has also established an interim board which oversee the operation of the project. The output of the workshop will be an elaborate, detailed and agreed concept paper, work plan with budget and a funding proposal that will form the basis of the project.
