Water Harvesting: The Collection of Rain Water and Spring Water
Water Harvesting: The Collection of Rain Water and Spring Water
The Taibeh village is an area that has relatively steep topography with high mountains and steep valleys. The average rainfall is between 250 and 300 mm a year. The area is highly dependent on agriculture where more than 11,000 inhabitants work in agricultural activities. The rest of the village is dependent on livestock and other government jobs. The Taibeh village is mainly a poor area with very low personal income.

This project aims at contributing to the overall maintenance and control of land degradation in the Taibeh village by implementing water harvesting projects. This in turn will result in improving the living conditions of the local community and further increases the knowledge and skills needed to manage natural resources.
