Project Characteristics and Results
Notable Community Participation
SACDEP-Kenya has been working in the Gatanga region for the last 2 years. This has been when implementing a landslides rehabilitation and mitigation project. Therefore, it has interacted with the communities within that period and received many requests from the farmers to train on Sustainable farming methods. Therefore this project has been designed in consultation with the communities.
Promoting Public Awareness of Global Environment
The project will have components of developing and distributing information and education communication tools in form of audio visuals, brochures, documentaries and training shows. Best practices will also be captured in the development magazines developed and distributed by SACDEP and GEF as partners. The information will also be posted to their websites.
