Eco Banat - establishing a unitary system to monitor deforestation in Banat mountain area
Eco Banat - establishing a unitary system to monitor deforestation in Banat mountain area
The project aims to contribute to lowering carbon emissions in the atmosphere, with long-term effects over climate change. An Action Board will be created by attracting representatives of local communities, NGOs, professional organizations, representatives of schools, cultural personalities, businesses, and a mobile unit will be established to monitor deforestation in the Banat mountains. The entire system will be based on a sustained awareness raising and promotion campaign meant to lay the grounds for replicating the initiative from the Caras Severin county to all forested areas in Romania.
