Climate change and biodiversity in Tara Lapusului
Climate change and biodiversity in Tara Lapusului
The project aims to pilot renewable energy technologies and protect century-old forests and traditional grasslands that lower or store carbon emissions. Activities include integration of climate change topics in education through practical and animation methods, informative manuals in six rural communities, pilot projects using photovoltaic and solar panels. A “zero emission travel” concept will be developed and tested, thematic pathways will be created and local products will be registered and promoted for sale. An educational resource centre will be established, as well as a Local Action Group for the sustainable development of the region.
