Project Characteristics and Results
Replication of project activities
- Garbage disposal remains a challenge in the village. The community produces waste, but cannot dispose of this in an environmental friendly manner. So there is a great need to realize the garbage disposal. The tourism facility has increased its visitors annually, and hopefully the community can continue this, ensuring employment of community members, and also to generate income for the community as a whole.
Notable Community Participation
Community will be actively involved in the set up and exploitation of the ecotourism facility through improvement of the beach and marking of the river, erection of huts and business booths.Recruitment of a local manager and assitant of the facilities. Promotion activities of the project will also be done by the community.
